About this policy
Baran Performance is operated by Tomasz Baran, trading as Baran Performance, who is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy enquiries, email [email protected].
This policy covers the Baran Performance website and enquiries sent to us. It does not cover a live Bench account, subscription or training-data service. Bench is currently in development and will have a separate privacy notice before those services launch.

Information we use
Our contact button opens an email service so you can compose a message. It does not submit a contact form or send a message automatically. We receive your enquiry only when you send it.
Please do not include medical records, passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information in a general enquiry.
- Email enquiries. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any name, attachments or other information you include.
- Website requests. Delivering a website involves processing technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, request times and browser information. Hosting and security services may also process information needed to identify errors or suspicious activity.
- Privacy preferences. We save your cookie choice in your browser so the website can remember it.
03
Why we use information
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use an enquiry as permission to send unrelated promotional emails.
- To respond to enquiries. We use your message and contact details to answer questions and manage correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us. Where an enquiry concerns entering a contract with you, we may instead rely on taking steps at your request before that contract.
- To operate and protect the website. We rely on our legitimate interests in delivering a reliable website, investigating faults and preventing misuse, balanced against visitors' privacy rights.
- To meet legal obligations. We may retain or disclose relevant information where a legal requirement applies.
04
Cookies and browser storage
We use browser localStorage to remember whether you selected “Accept essential” or “Accept all”. You can change your choice through the cookie settings in the footer. Read our Cookie Policy for more information.
Optional advertising and analytics tracking is not currently installed in the website application. Selecting “Accept all” records your preference; it does not itself install tracking or send an enquiry.
If optional tracking is introduced, we will update the relevant notices and provide any consent controls required before it is activated.
05
Service providers and sharing
We use Google Workspace, including Gmail, to receive, store and respond to email enquiries.
Cloudflare is our planned website hosting provider. Once the website is deployed there, Cloudflare will process website requests to deliver the site and provide the infrastructure and security services enabled for it.
We share information only where needed to operate these services, respond to your request, meet a legal requirement or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.
You can read more about the providers' arrangements in Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
06
International processing
Google and Cloudflare operate internationally. Depending on the services and settings used, information may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and other countries where those providers or their service providers operate.
International transfers must meet applicable UK data protection requirements. The safeguards relevant to a transfer depend on the provider, destination and contractual arrangements. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards applicable to your personal information.
07
How long we keep information
Our policy is to review and delete routine enquiry correspondence within 12 months of the last meaningful contact, unless it is still needed for an ongoing matter or another justified purpose.
Where correspondence relates to a contract, dispute or legal obligation, we may retain the relevant records for longer. We assess this according to the purpose of the record, any applicable legal requirements and whether it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Technical information is retained according to the hosting or security service involved and the settings enabled. Relevant criteria include whether information is needed to deliver the service, investigate an error or security incident, prevent abuse or meet a legal obligation.
Your privacy preference remains in your browser until you change it, clear the website's stored data or your browser removes it. Changing the preference replaces the previous choice.
08
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the following rights under UK data protection law:
- To request access to your personal information.
- To ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- To request deletion of your information.
- To request restrictions on how we use your information.
- To object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- To receive certain information in a portable format.
- To withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
09
How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before disclosing personal information.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If we use your information for direct marketing, you have an absolute right to object to that use at any time.
We normally respond to rights requests within one month. Where the law allows an extension, we will explain the reason and the revised timeframe.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator.

Bench and younger visitors
This website introduces Bench and shares development updates. It does not currently provide public Bench accounts or collect training check-ins through its pages.
Before launching features that collect player information, we will explain the information involved, its purposes, storage, sharing and retention in a dedicated notice. Health-related information and services likely to be accessed by children require additional assessment and safeguards.
11
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our website or use of personal information changes. The effective date identifies the current edition. Where required, we will draw significant changes to your attention.
For questions, contact [email protected].
